Hello all, I'm going to be replacing my oil pressure sensor soon, as it's slightly leaking (as seems to be fairly common). However, I have found two different part numbers that show up on autoparts.toyota.com website: 83530-12060 & 83530-28020 I'm having a hard time figuring out which one is the correct one, as the website states they both are applicable and are the exact same price. Google searching really hasn't given me any answers, but it seems the "12060" seems to be the most common one used, but any insights from you all is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Check with a dealership parts department? I know it’s empowering to sort out yourself, and that’s what I do as well, but at least let them cross-check it for you. If your car’s registered with a certain dealership they should have its VIN on record, which helps clinch it. Or have the VIN ready when you contact them. Doesn’t help too, that the Toyota USA parts site was recently revised, and left pretty much broken.
My next step was to reach out directly to the dealership, but almost always they seem so clueless on things (hence why I just try to sort things out myself). I totally agree about their website, too... it's much worse now than the previous one. I have no idea why they went and changed things up for the worse.
