Anyone have any idea why this AC condenser tube snapped on me twice? I can’t figure it out. Is this common? It’s a ct200 2016.

Yes the engine rocking around any funny noises going on like when the car progresses from gas engine turning off while driving and then it turned coming back on while you're moving down the road make any funny noises like a growling kind of sound any of that going on that'll try to rock that engine around and could cause this any of the mounts fubar. You need to check them carefully sometimes you can get an iron bar wedged into the engine and try to rock it back and forth see what happens if it's sloppy or nothing can move a solid inch or something like that maybe You need to also check the connection of that particular hose It's routed a certain way You can look at other generation threes and see. I don't know if maybe an engine change has been done and they've got the hose routing wrong and it's under constant stress?

Yeah I have had the engine replaced once but it’s been around 50k miles since then (used JDM engine) and this snapped twice in the last 5000 miles. The engine is started to show signs of possible head gasket issues again by once in a while the transition from electric to motor isn’t as smooth as it once was. Going to get this replaced and then clean the egr and hope for the best. Coolant has been good and no misfires of any sort. If things start to get suspicious again I might just sell the car this time.

That's why I was wondering if maybe the hose got disoriented a little bit or bent that aluminum will bend a little bit before it breaks so if it got tweaked getting reinstalled that could be the problem and then it moves around like it's supposed to being a rubber and metal line is not enough slack that it used to have when it was properly positioned It's just a guess regular running of the air conditioner certainly not enough to make that hose want to come apart right there.
