I have 2012 Prius 3 and figured it might be a good idea to put new spark plugs in with new Ignition Coil . I have about 66,400 miles on it but since its going on 12 yrs old I figured I better do this install. My question is : should you use dielectric grease when installing them and if so , where exactly does the dielectric grease go . Also I'll be using NGK (4912) ILKAR7BII Laser Iridium spark Plugs and Denso Direct Ignition Coil OE Quality-673-1310 spark plugs is what Nuts About Bolts posted he used on Spark Plug Video on YouTube Just checking if I'm using the right material , Thank You
Toyota USA says 12 years or 120k miles for the plugs. My 2 cents, use the specd Denso SC16HR11 (revised by Toyota from Owners Manual), leave the coils, and don’t use any grease. Torque is 15 lb/ft with clean/dry threads.
I'm not having any troubles at all , and yes I have cleaned the EGR cooler and intake manifold and throttle body , plus installed a catch can ,just heard 120,000 miles or 12 yrs and I have a 2012
