http://videos.streetfire.net/hottestvideos...188c0fdac03.htm This board probably doesn't have quite the right audience for this type of stuff, but hey, a few might like it... I'm surprised they're using a (FWD) Accord for a lot of this. Generally RWD cars are preferred for drifting. I wonder if Honda engineers shudder when they see Accords being thru this kind of abuse. I liked the tune enough to buy it from iTunes Store. It's Freedom from DJ Bobo.
I've seen them drift Camrys and ES330s so it's nothing new... They have highways that are a few lanes wide with little traffic so they can do this sort of thing.
Do they do this with stock cars? The reason I ask is that it seems like there isn't much body roll at all in these videos. Really shows the benefit of the newer suspensions ...
wow... they can get away with this in Saudi Arabia of all places??? ( The irony of a song titled "Freedom" playing to this is just mind boggling...) [[and before anyone accuses me of being some gun-toting bible thumping ultra-conservative republican, bear in mind I voted for gore and kerry]] But I really dont get why anyone would want to do this, it seems like a GREAT way to ruin a perfectly good car... or why anyone would stand so close to that... it looked like some of those cars were going to plow right into that crowd watching on the side of the road... idiots...
i dont think you should judge them. there are professional people who do this, and it is something entertaining to do. If they like it, why shouldn't they do it? It looks like the roads are pretty dusty, so it's probably easier to "drift" there. I say "drift" cause it looks like he's just playing around
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(cwerdna @ Dec 17 2006, 11:07 PM) </div> Given what Honda engineers seem to be like, and judging by the way they tune their cars, they probably love this sort of stuff.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bgdrewsif @ Dec 18 2006, 02:31 AM) </div> Doesn't matter, they'll just buy another from the dealer if they bust that one. An Accord is disposable to them.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(flareak @ Dec 18 2006, 03:32 AM) </div> Professional?!?!? Did you watch that video? Professional??? Professionals would not drive like that on STREETS. They would not drive like that INTO CROWDS OF PEOPLE. These were not professionals. They were bored kids with toys, which happened to be cars. They were irresponsible, dangerous, and IMHO acting like idiots. Responsible drivers drifting on a closed course? That's a different story.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jbarnhart @ Dec 19 2006, 02:25 AM) </div> lol you completely misinterpreted. i meant in drifting there are professionals and that people shouldn't be so quick to judge those who enjoy doing so, so please calm down. and also, how perfectly sure are you that this wasn't closed off. I don't see random cars in their way.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(flareak @ Dec 19 2006, 09:14 AM) </div> It sure didn't seem closed off to me. In many shots there were cars and trucks in motion all around them which weren't drifting.
Unless those Hondas are RWD, it ain't drifting. They are just nice person-dragging; going really fast and then ripping the e-brake.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Presto @ Dec 29 2006, 12:25 PM) </div> maybe they rigged it to be rwd lol. i mean, money isn't an issue so they can convert it for all they care.
Most of that isn't drifting. It's skidding! It is pretty cool though! None of you have seen the drifting Prius videos?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(allargon @ Jan 3 2007, 01:52 AM) </div> No...is there such a thing?
