I drive a 2013 Gen 3 Prius. I recently replaced my headlights with LEDs. Afterward, I was hyper flashing on my dash and rear blinkers. The front blinkers were not activating. I swapped out the relay for the LEDs which solved the hyperflashing. However, I still don't have front blinkers.

The process by which I replaced the headlights was involved. I had to remove the front bumper. There may be simpler ways to do it, but this is what I did. In the process, the bumper and blinker assembly all fell together on the floor of my garage. No visible damage, it fell from about a foot up or so, but it clattered on the garage floor. I put it all back on and everything looked fine.

I'm wondering if, when the bumper fell, the blinker bulbs themselves were damaged. Or perhaps the grounding screw for the blinkers came loose (based on what I've found online.) Does anyone here have guidance on how I can trouble shoot this myself? Thank you all for your help!

I don't know but that was really kind of silly to take out the front bumper and all that nonsense and not replace the headlights just to change the bulbs My goodness I'm out of my 2013 persona right now fooling with just this thing and these big fanless LEDs that I use or I'm sure way bigger than the fan model that you may be using Not sure. But they're even the generation 2 I fit the bulbs right where the thing sit We don't be taking off no front bumper covers and unplugging things no sir and then when it comes time to replace a headlight You don't even want to hear how I do that I don't generally take the front bumper cover off especially if the headlight I'm taking out is damaged I just pry it out with a hammer or whatever and then to put the new one back in I'm not even going to go into that because everyone will go and do a tizzy. But they work perfectly and you can't tell it and I don't have to touch my bumper.

Tombukt2 thank you for commenting, do you have any ideas on trouble shooting my blinkers?

The blinkers in my 2010 stopped working on one side because my wife dinged the wires right behind the front bumper cover as the turn signal wires run right under the headlight on the metal bar that's right behind the front bumper cover If you were to smack the front bumper cover hard enough into the metal under bumper You could damage your turn signals or one of them both of them shouldn't go out I had one side working which would be the left and the right side would not work it has to be fed from the left side of the car. It was a quick and easy fix them both not working is quite interesting Do you hear the relay making the click like it should be working If not that's where he might want to start I would think if the blinkers should be working you would hear the click of the blinker relay so if your switch isn't sending power to the blinker relay or something like that that would be a problem I don't know if there's a computer system for necessarily the blinkers but there is a body control module And I think there's a lighting control module someone will be along and post up the links you need to get to the manual to read what you need to read. So nothing that's gone on with the car leads you to believe anything about why this has happened That's kind of interesting.

You should be able to reach the blinker sockets and bulbs pretty easily, maybe just by lowering some of the wheel well liner. (I'm thinking of my 2010, but I know the 2012 facelift made the bumper and turn signals a little different). How do the bulbs look? Are the sockets securely connected? Did you happen to undo the connector between the bumper harness and the main wiring (the one located just ahead of the LF wheel well)?
