So in my 2010 solar roof car I can taste the ethylene glycol in a pretty fresh oil change. On the 2013 persona not at all both cars are rattling a very different rattle between the two extremely different I have a video of the 2013 throughout the whole rattling cycle the engine is running as smooth as you can imagine You can see it in the video in 4K The engine never skips a beat no codes no misfires nothing but in between the engine and the transmission there is something happening more on the transmission side like some kind of bushing or something on that main shaft a spring possibly cracked I don't know. But the 2010 is clearly a head gasket rattle and I know it's head gasket is on the way out there's no question about it You could taste it glycol on the spark plugs of one and two also not on three and four. We're expecting this on the 2010 planned if you will The 2013 persona not so much just had an engine replaced I don't know 7-8 months ago.

you should certainly expect it at some point on the persona, but this probably isn't it.

Yeah I know it It's just fast I can smell it too I'm real sensitive to ethylene glycol for some reason But I don't have this going on in the JDM engine I just put in the persona so I feel reasonably okay about that.

Oh, if it’s a low mile jdm it should be fine for a long time.
Can’t see why it would be rattling though

You should see this video I made in 4K or whatever the heck The thing is rattling away but the engine is just as smooth as all get out you can hear it and you can see in the video there's something right in between what seems to be the engine and transmission just clacking away and then it stops and if I step on the gas just a little bit it goes right through it clear is right up but it's not a miss.

I think that clutch damper thingy or the shaft coming through the transmission must be on some kind of bearings or bushings something in there is worn out possibly causing this odd stutter and shake that weird times it make no sense and the engine is just running along as smooth as glass I mean the engine runs great this thing sits over here clackity clackity clackity clackity and my touch the gas just a little bit it's gone instantly then if I take my foot off the gas as the RPMs fall something stumbles between the engine and the transmission like a clackity clackity clackity It is very strange that's the only thing I can think to do and I hate to have to do it again because I have to pay you know to take the transmission out just to look and see but luckily I have the old transmission that when it was changed was working fine working perfectly I just figured I'd get a lower mileage takeout with the engine while I was doing that for 200 more dollars seemingly may not have been a thing it's too funny.
