    Hi All,

Hope someone can help. I have a 2016 Toyota Prius Touring with 105k miles. I just changed the 12v battery a few days ago with a battery from Toyota for this make/model.

I was driving home and suddenly the car was not accelerating and felt weird when I pressed the gas so I took the first exit off the freeway. As I did all these warning lights started flashing with the the dash saying "Pre Collision System Malfunction and Braking Power low visit your dealer". I pulled over and the car wouldn't move anymore without abrupt shaking when I would apply the break. I just called AAA and had the car towed to my local mechanic and will see what he says when he looks at it.
Any ideas on what happened? The car has been running great will all the maintenance done on time. The only thing I did recenlty was change out the 12V battery which was dead a few days ago. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I am having a similar issue. Did this issue get resolved?

I have a 2018 Prius two eco and mine also shut down while I was driving. I’m getting code P3190.

I know this is an old thread but for the second time my 2016 Prius 3 with tech package is now throwing the same warnings. This time I am looking to see if anyone has had similar issues and it appears there are a lot. I will preface by saying that my car has been a beast and I love her. I'm not sure why she puts up with everything I've asked of her but she does with little complaint. I've had all recalls repaired at the dealership including the replacement of the entire wiring harness. She also has 293k miles on her that I've driven 95 percent of. Anyway the first time these errors came up I had just gotten a new windshield. The dealership told me the computer needed recalibrating after so I paid the 480 bucks to get it done (reimbursed through insurance) and it was smooth sailing from there. I was told to expect this any time I replace the windshield and starter battery but I've replaced the starter battery twice and have since had 2 more windshield replacements and have not needed to do that. Well now it is happening again and there has been no recent change so I'm scared it might be the computer. I had all brake pads and both front wheel bearings (including a new axel because of a stripped bolt from previous accident repair) about 6 months ago. Christmas Eve I hydroplaned into the grassy highway median and found a ditch so had to be pulled out but have had no issues until yesterday. It's since come on half the time upon start up. Of course as is customary my cruise control also does not work since wherever it is in the computer controls all of these systems.....I'm going to post a new thread but wanted to share in hopes that others looking might have a better starting point apart from letting the dealership throwing parts at it until your broke
