Brake Actuator

A Prius v actuator is not compatible. It may also be bad as these years had brake booster defects. All were covered on a special program for 10 years from first use or 150k miles. They have ecus in them which has different code in a v wagon.

The best way to check compatibility is via a part number lookup based on the vin. Done on your car and any donor car.

From Toyota program document:
One or more of the following specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C1391, C1252, C1256 or C1253 will be stored in the vehicles memory to be used as verification. If the condition is verified, the vehicle will be repaired with new Brake Booster and Brake Booster Pump Assemblies under the terms of this Customer Support Program.

The actuator, brake booster, abs system or master cylinder are names used interchangeably for the master cylinder assy shown below. The pump is a separate device underneath the master cylinder.



Both are replaced by Toyota under their 10 years from first use or 150k miles program. Primarily because pumps do occasionally fail and the labor to later remove the master cylinder to access the pump is high.



Most diyer’s change the master cylinder assembly and not the separate pump to save money.

You notice in the Hybridpit option in post 2 above they rebuild the master cylinder and not the separate pump. That adds support to the master cylinder assy being more common.

Finally, calibrating and completely flushing a replaced system requires Techstream or one of the higher end scanners like an XTool d8 or one of the better Launch scanners like the CRP919X.

Back when they had to recall a bunch of the pump assemblies for 2010s, they cooked up some special tools to make the replacement easier without moving so much other stuff out of the way. If you ever have to do it, take a look at the technical instructions for recall D0H for ideas.
