Gas cap cord always pops out

    I assume its because after 12 years, the plastic tab is just so thin that it pops out of the hole. I always set the cap on the back hood but one of these days I'm going to forget it! Should I just buy another one or is there a way to creatively tighten it or loop it into the hole?

    Put a tiny screw into the back of the plastic tab to widen it.

    If you need the strap just buy a new cap with the strap I don't think they're really too too bad.
