The maintenance needed alert came on yesterday on 2013 Prius. We stopped and had the OBD read and it said the battery was overheating at 185 degrees. We checked the fan which did not need cleaning and still overheating. Nearest Toyota shop for diagnostic is 40 miles. Should we have it towed?
