This is my 2025 Prius Prime after completing the modifications I had planned except for possibly painting the brake calipers red. I decided to go with the GR look. The aerodynamics are produced by Kuhl Racing and I ordered them from My Japan Direct out of California. I got the idea from the Toyota Prius GR displayed at Le Mans and the Prius racing series taking place in Korea. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a44106491/toyota-prius-gr-modified-24-hours-of-le-mans/ Toyota Prius One-Make Racing Might Be Our New Favourite Motorsport | News | CarThrottle The front tires are stock but I replaced the two rear tires with Toyo Proxes Sport A/S 225/45. I did this so I would have spare tires and the factory tires were unavailable for several months. They are 1-8/10” wider and 3/10” taller. The look is very subtle and after over 5k miles on them, I have not noticed any difference in performance. I also didn’t like the blank front tag mount so ordered a 4" half sized license plate blank and a Gazoo Racing sticker on Ebay to make my own tag that fits the factory tag mount.
I do not know, the black at the bottom makes the car look ... lifted. Love the black hood going into the black "wing" I guess we can call it. Makes it look like an arrow. How's the fuel economy with that spoiler though?
I haven't noticed a change in economy. High 30s on ev and 40 mpg at 80 mph on road trips. I don't drive slow enough to find the peak milage. This is the GR prototype from Le Mans.
Just checking the math: 225 (current width in mm) minus 195 (stock width) is 30mm (increase), which is roughly 1-1/8". Perhaps what you meant to say? Kinda funny, a plastic grill overlaying a plastic fairing, with the upper ~50% of the grill blocked by the fairing."
This is where I drew my calculations from: The Prime comes with: Toyo Extensa A/S IIA 195/50 R19 88H Tire Weight: 20 lbs., Rim Width Range 5.5-7”, Tread Width 5.4”, Tire Height 26.7” Toyo Proxes Sport A/S 225/45 R19 96W Tire Weight 23 lbs. Rim Width Range 7-8.5”, Tread Width 7.2”, Tire Height 27” Yes, this was a mockup built by Toyota for display at Le Mans. It has not been developed into a competition car that I know of. My car looks more like the Prius GR racing series car. A much more subtle look. You can watch one race here:
