I have a 2007 Prius and the gas gauge (the entire bar, along with the mph text, regardless of how full it is) has been flashing at a constant on-off pace for a few months now. The level sensor itself seems to still be working. In the past I have had difficulty adding fuel but have always been able to get it to take enough to get it reasonably full. Has anyone had this issue before?
Could there be a fault with the rubber bladder inside the fuel tank? Could be time to replace it due to age?
So the zero on your speedometer on your heads up display or gauge cluster next to the transmission position and the little pips for the literal amount of fuel in the tank all of that is flashing?. Have you ever had any codes or anybody tell you that there was a problem with the CM monitor or the display there is a code for it but it's pretty hard to get out of the four cars I've had two of the displays have been bad only one has ever had the code for the CM monitor losing communication or being bad The other car we just changed it and it solved the problem but that's not the way I use it like to work things .
Has anyone repaired the instrument cluster on this car? The similar happens when the white plug on the side of the cluster board is not fully inserted.
There is an older post ➡ here ⬅ that describes the different fuel-gauge blinking patterns and what they mean.
