ticking noise under the dashboard - behind the steering wheel

Is the climate control system "off"? If not, try with "off" position first. Also change it to max heat and shutdown and start again. Any difference?

It does not sound like the ABS actuator. Other than the vent motor, wonder what it could be.

Also the cd player is off?

 

Sounds like one of the event or vent position control motors most people leave their nonsense on all the time so turn your MFD into the climate position and make sure the off button is pushed and nothing is on usually I have the position for the vents set at the first one so they're blowing out the front vents so front vents off nothing running did the noise just stop All righty.

 

There should be diagrams all over the internet of the motors that drive the vents next to your right knee when you're sitting in the car in the driver seat I think they're two of them they're these black kind of like box things sticking right out of the side of the gray heater box and there's some white plastic around the area too. But there's all kinds of diagrams You can actually get at them with the seat all the way back a towel on the floor lay on your back look up You can see them I can't remember what tools you need but it's not terribly too awful bad I have a car that needs this right now and I won't waste time with this until spring.
