I have a 2017 Prime advanced. As of a few weeks ago, the remote climate start on the app stopped working. I can still get the app to connect to the car and it correctly updates the mileage and the charging status. I can also start charging via app if the car is plugged in. However the "Start climate" button is non-responsive. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling with no effect (Android app) Now that it got quite cold I would like to be able to remote start the heat. I know I can do that via the key fob but I can charge for free at work at a building that is beyond the key fob signal reach. In the past I would run the climate system as I was leaving the office and walk to a heated car. Is there any fix to this or do I need to bring it to the dealer? Thanks in advance!
Likewise, 2017 PP Advanced, remote climate hasn't worked all season. The Toyota app does know that I have a paid EV Remote subscription and mileage and charge status do update properly. Does remote climate work for anyone?
The same thing for me. I can see the charge status but remote climate stopped working sometime last year (I mostly use it during winter) I took mine in to the dealership and they were totally clueless. Paid $100 for a software update that they thought may fix it but it didn't. Tech guy explained that I need to have "connected services" subscription and that right now I only have "remote assistance" but connected services is not an option in my account. I called Toyota support and spent an hour on the phone and CSR said that remote climate is not available for my vehicle from what she saw on her screen and to bring it back to the dealer. I suspect they must have disabled the feature somewhere on the back end. Gotta love modern cars where you don't own anything and the company can turn off or disable whatever they feel like on a whim.
