That sounds good. It could be somewhat worse than the input-kWh estimate because the capacity is not really determined by the kWh that goes in but the charge that goes in (time integral of the current). If the internal resistance of the battery has increased, more of this input kWh is being lost as heat (due to a lower charging efficiency).

Depends on what you consider a large portion of the year and how inland you go. I just went digging into the weather data and it looks like the city I work at had 100+ degrees F for 42 days in 2024. It certainly felt like every day of the summer was over 100F, but I guess not.
