Hi Everyone! I am a new prius owner; picked up my 2024 prius limited last month. I started noticing that after I turn off the car there is this whistling type of noise for a few seconds, sort of like high pitch chirping. I checked a few posts and the owner's manual, but this sound doesn't quite match. Is this something all Pruis's do, or should I get this checked by the dealership?
That happens as soon as you put it in Park, not after the car shuts off. And the parking brake sound is more of a short whrrr followed by a click. That doesn't match the description the OP gave.
You are right, this happens after the car shtus off. I recorded a quick youtube short of it, but my account is too new to post it.
