No wording or anything near it but it does function (clicks in and clicks out out when pressed on once and twice). Prius 2014 Model (Trim/Style) 4
Pop it out and see if anything is connected to it. It could be some aftermarket switch someone installed...
Not used on GEN III Level 1-4. Not sure, but believe it was used for Self Parking or something only available on Level 5...?
I’m dumb, it doesn’t do anything when pressing for some reason I must’ve been confusing it for something else when looking around at the under steering wheel buttons in general. Was playing with the solar panel ventilate option button and must’ve forgotten to make a post asking about which battery it uses for that option (12v or hybrid battery pack) instead of this post. Sorry folks.
yeah sorry to waste time I was confusing it for something else I wanted to post about but remembered wrong when posting as just explained to another commenter in my response.
Are you now saying it a blank cover? It doesn't do anything? [/QUOTE] It’s a blank cover, was confusing it for another switch and my brain haywired when making this post lol but does the ventilate via solar panel switch use 12V or Hybrid Battery and is it worth using that ventilate while idle mode on sunny days?
I don't know anything about the solor. My guess would be the 12v battery as the hybrid doesn't activate until the car is readied.... The solar fan uses the solar panel on the roof and that is all. I modified mine to charge my 12v battery though and it works perfect.
I feel like it would be better to modify it to charge devices while car is off and just chilling in the car if you can bare the summer heat with all windows open.
I also have it able to do that with the solar controller that has two usb ports. Then I ran extended usb cord to front, where I installed usb port with C port. I can turn it off/on with the Renogy solar controller APP and have power while the car is off.
This is where the slot for the smart auto park button is. IPA by MAX2 posted Mar 16, 2025 at 10:38 AM But your car doesn't have it, it's an empty slot covered with a lid.
