I just change oil 500m ago and now see level is well above max line (like 1cm higher). Do you think it can be bad if I I have too much oil?
I suspect that person pour too much, it was oil from the shop not from cans, so it's hard to control how much they put.

    * I've check level carefully multiple tries with same result

    Thanks

Remove excess oil to bring it up to level. Then check the oil level after a few trips.

If the level continues to rise, there may be a problem with the injector (gasoline leaking) or a problem with the engine head gasket (coolant leaking).

You can check the oil for gasoline or coolant content.

Is the car on level ground when you check the oil? If it’s sloping it’ll change the level on dipstick.

when checking, I’d suggest to wait 5 minutes after removing dipstick, before reinserting for the check. Oil tends to get drawn up the dipstick guide tube, smear the edges during the reinsert, and may make it hard to tell the actual oil level.

The 5 minute wait gives the oil possibly drawn up the guide tube time to drain back down, makes it easier to read the actual level.

Also, one side of the dipstick may be easier to read. With my gen 3 I’ve found the dipstick face towards front of car is clearer.

I used a siphon down the dipstick tube after the free dealer oil changes

From watching the Car Care Nut videos there seems to be a time when high oil levels led to oil burning. I have always checked mine before I left the dealer service center because of that. I wouldn’t worry about a centimeter but I would think twice before having it changed at the same place again.

I would like it if they poured in more oil than the norm. I would drain the excess into a container and top it up from there as needed.

Aside from any fluid leaking, causing oil level to rise, an excessively high oil level can reduce engine efficiency, and if high enough, possible engine damage.

What level being considered excessive, is dependent on design.
