Im having a lot of problems with my car and it's not able to pass smog. The issue at hand is a P1437 code because of a VSV leak. I just replaced the VSV and when I tried clearing the code, two other codes came up. I'm 80% sure these codes are just misfires, because this was never a problem before and only came up today. P1437 was the only code that came up when I got my car smogged a few weeks ago. But hey, this is my first car, and I don't know anything about cars. It could be anything.

Anyway, I just reset the battery. I have no idea what else could be done if the check engine light comes back on. I can't register the car until I can get it to pass smog, and I can't renew movement permits anymore. What should I do?

Your scanner and program are not suitable for hybrid and Gen1.
If we can assume that the error codes are correct, then the description of these errors is completely inappropriate.
See this topic. It is about the error code P1437

Yeah, I'm missing the whole OEM system. Actuator and resonator. Someone online suggested I buy a Honda actuator as a bypass (because I can't afford the whole replacement part) but I'm struggling to figure out how to connect it.

You are lucky Nevada can use EPA parts, and the cost is much lower for a cat converter. Where to go? A shop specializing in Prius if there is one. A code doesn’t mean that part has to be replaced. It would be nice if it were so simple.

A system designed to work with a catalyst will give errors with a missing catalyst. This is obvious.
