Hello at all, I'm owner of Auris Hybrid, same hybrid system of prius. I'm trying to configure the automatic use of battery's cooling fan. If the intake temperature reached 36°C, fan must be set to speed 6. Is it possible with a torque's script? I tried a script made with chatGPT, but it doesn't work... Thank at all in advance and sorry for my poor english
What is the need to regulate the temperature? Is it very hot? Is the battery generating overheating errors? The Hybrid Assistant app for Android phone is free and has a function for monitoring the temperature and turning on the battery fan. Hybrid Assistant: temperature
Yes, I used HA but, from the last update (august 2024), the app crashes without reasons. I contact the developer and he told me that there is an error with obd adapter. I bought 2 new obds (different model) and I have the same trouble: I tried with other 2 smartphone, same problem. I need to use torque to manage fan speed. In summer, when I'm in queue, the battery temperature rise over 38°C and I need to climb down it. Thank you.
Hybrid Assistant requires a good OBDII adapter. There are PIDs for Torque that can be installed. The question of how suitable they are for Auris is unknown. Install it, write about the results. See this topic. GenIII Prius Custom PIDs for Torque app | PriusChat
I check the HA compatible adapter in HA's site and a bought a new adapter more performant than mine: nothing is changed... I downloaded the PID for auris and prius and I made mine torque's dashboard (2 pages): in second page I have a widget with "6Speed fan" and it works perfectly. But in this mode, I need to check often the "HV Battery Temperature" and I need to switch manually between 1st and 2nd page of dashboard. My question is if with torque's script I can automate this process: if "HV battery temperature" is > 37°C, set fan speed to 6. When temperature is < 37°C, set fan speed to automatically (manage from auris).
