The 04/05 silver is Millennium Silver Metallic. 06+ is Classic Silver Metallic. Classic Silver is definitely more silvery and brighter than MSM, which is toned down a bit.
We have an 07 in Classic Silver. I have been comparing it with the silver on other brands of auto and have come to the conclusion that the Silver on the Prius is somehow brighter or more lively with not so much grey. To my eye the Silver Prius stands out even when it is cloudy. Each time I drive the Prius I am thankful for the automobile.

I have an silver '05 Prius and my father has a silver '06 Prius. They were side by side last month and I noticed that the '05 silver has a slightly olive tint to it when compared to the '06 silver. You would never notice it if they weren't side by side and I couldn't decide which I liked better.
