Just a couple of thoughts to share. First a snapshot:
    top_EVs.jpg
These are the top three performing, best EVs, sedan and SUV. I'm holding off for a March 2024 or more recent to get HW 4.0 controller. The earlier ones, like my 2019 Model 3, have HW 2.5 or HW 3.0 which are likely to become 'End Of Live' someday.

I don't think Elon was a fraud as much as what we used to call an "idiot savant." He is brilliant in technology but an absolute fool for conspiracy liars. More to be pitied but still to be careful about.

As for Tesla board of directors, I note that some have already sold bunches of their stock. It is likely to be profit taking but I too sold my TSLA and am now a short-seller. IMHO, it remains 3x higher than the P/E ratio would suggest.

Tesla sells used cars, just get a free web page account and look around. I saw a 2021 Model Y, 70,000 mi, for $22,000 from Tesla. I have also found a 2022 Model Y with FSD for $30,500 from an independent dealer. But I'm holding out for an affordable HW 4.0 Tesla used or new. The best prices occur in the last three weeks of March, June, September, and December.

    ............
Society is now in an age of extreme brittleness where we can't call somebody 'he/she' when people think they are "they them" ..... causing some to run hair on fire for their safe room - auto presuming it's deliberate hate .....
even the stand alone word savant can cause hearers to perk up in shock & disbelief. Even so, some people still shock hearers when others call Asians 'orientals'. Even after you explain no, Oriental is a style, like architecture, art Etc.
My better ½ still calls me out on a lot of improper, now often thought as hurtful language. Though jokingly she will still comment (if we are alone) that I put the 'idiot' in idiot savant, referencing being on the (autistic) spectrum. Didn't stop me from doing okay in life - but required tons of extra effort.
Maybe that's an advantage of coming from olden days where if you manifested improper words and behavior, you could pretty much be expected to be called an idiot, or retard, and maybe even have the crap beat out of you - or hazed if you were in college ... & you'd just blow it off.

I looked at a Hyundai Ioniq 6, and it looked promising. The big problem for me is that I want some local dealer support. At least someone with the training and the tools to handle any repairs. Unfortunately, there's no Hyundai dealer within 200 miles of here. That's also my big problem with Tesla. I know they have the mobile repairs, but that's only for the first whatever miles. I also don't know how that would apply to a used EV. About the only EV with support around here is the Ford MachE, and I wasn't all that impressed when I drove one of those.

That could be those you choose for company. Not my problem.

An iconoclast engineer, I suspect they took the inside locks off the lab doors to keep me and like minded engineers from spending too many days "working" with our toys.

If it's any consolation, the CH-R+ that was unveiled in Belgium had amber side markers which means it's a North American specification.

    Hey there esteemed moderator!
How's that super efficient Hyundai EV treating you? Setting any range or MPGe records?

I passed several VA and NC state safety inspections after changing amber side lights to white 20 years ago. It was fairly common for certain Porsche models to no longer have a single original light they came with .. new foglights, headlights, taillights and sidelights.

So far so good. Had the 12V battery die but no other issues that other owners have had.

This is my one and only best consumption on winter tyres no less! Kinda wish I went a bit lower (say 10%) so I can get a higher distance travelled instead of an estimated total range.

And here's a summer range on the stock 20" wheels

I don’t know anyone who can’t use he/she or say Merry Christmas. Just a paid for marketing effort to divide the country to keep a loyal base. As far as names that hurt, it isn’t up to you to decide if they hurt or not. Notice you have no names that hurt you, do you? I have one, when I had to wear glasses, kids would call me four eyes. People who do those things are bullies. Otherwise, being white there aren’t a lot of names that hurt. There can be names, but they don’t hurt.
I see on here Hunter Biden is still cartooned, bullied, for what reason people stoop so low, who knows. .

not that it matters - but anyone with black friends from the south knows that's ridiculously inaccurate - as coversations between the non brittle will occasionally dialogue about what each ethnicity derogatorily call each other. & imagine this, no one gets there wittle feewings hurt. Not the case if there are virtue signaling / social justice warriors around to 'save the day'
