Will be getting my new Prius LE next month, and I'm wondering about my garage door clearance. Can anyone please tell me the maximum height with the hatchback all the way open? Thanks!

It’s about 84-85 inches, by my rough measurement.

Not much help for the original poster, but for the power hatch door on the Prius Limited, you have a choice of 5 heights for opening the door. I haven't measured the heights, but setting 1 hardly opens it at all, making it hard to use the close buttons on the door.

How can you choose / select which height setting you want?

There are preset heights from the dashboard menu (Vehicle Settings -> PBD).

Or you can set a custom position. From the manual:

    1. Stop the back door in the desirable position. [By pressing the open/close button while it's moving - if it's stopped in mid position like that, then short press continues to open, long press starts to close]
    2. Press and hold the open/close switch on the lower part of the back door for approximately 2 seconds
When the settings are completed, the buzzer sounds 4 times.

When opening the back door the next time, the back door will stop at that position.
