I recently did some active shooter training and the subject of 'Swatting' came up since it's a 'thing' now.
The FIRST thing they do when they find and arrest one of these pieces of human debris is to perform a forensics on their social media trail.

• MAGAot punk kid shot off his mouth at me while charging my EV.
• Two at COSTCO who didn't like me using "summon."

Almost pathological, perhaps we should call it Democratic Derangement Syndrome (DDS). <GRINS>

When my last gas heater burned/rusted out its heater box, I replaced it with a high efficiency furnace:

• Electronics plugged into a 120 VAC circuit - in the event of a power outage, a 1.1 kW emergency generator (formerly 2003 Prius) can run the furnace for whole house heat.
• External combustion air inlet - avoids burning previously heated house air with subsequent infusion of outside cold air into the living spaces.
• PVC flu - PVC piping exhausts the now cooled, combustion gas. A small fan on the exhaust inlet ensures all combustion gases leave via the flu. There is a water drain from the flu because it actually condenses some of the water from combustion.
• Removed the central air evaporator coils - tired of cooling spaces that do not need it. Window and portable air conditioners cost less than maintenance of an expensive to operate, central air conditioner.

When my wife became home bound, I replaced the rotted 100 A service line with 200 A and the former Prius 2003 inverter with a 16 kW, natural gas fired, automatic generator:

• 16 kW - sized to support whole house peak load, ~7 kW, and charging one electric car, ~7 kW
• After 30 seconds of no power - generator transfer switch isolates from grid and powers the house
• ~$0.45/kWh natural gas vs. $0.12/kWh utility power - not cheap enough to go "Off Grid" but good enough for even 4 day, 6 hour outage when tornadoes tore up the North Alabama transmission lines.

To offset both electric bill, $225 last month, and minimize emergency generator natural gas cost, converted my TSLA stock to a home solar system:

• ~7 kW - solar roof to minimize paying $0.12/kWh
• 13 kWh battery - for instant ON power outage on a cycle-by-cycle basis
• integrated generator - should battery level fall too low, enables the natural gas fueled generator for longer outages

The house came with an electric range and oven which emits no toxic combustion gases into the living space. Otherwise, I would need an oversized hood which would also evacuate some heated or cooled house air and cause infusion of outside, air into the living spaces.

A Proud Partisan Democrat, I hate wasteful use of natural gas. Burning up interior air increases the cost to heat and cool the house. Combustion air should always come from outside the house, not the interior. Worse, using interior air leads to infusion of outside hot or cold air driving up costs. Then getting rid of the toxic combustion gas from inside the house also wastes interior air that has already been expensively cooled or heated.

However, I encourage our MAGAot @asjoseph to burn as much natural gas as possible. At one time, you could get a propane gas, operated refrigerator. Regardless, the extra money paid means he has less to send to these thieves:
