So how much should I expect to pay to get the passengers side axle rod fixed??? How long should it take?

Check the repairpal link, post #19. I thought you wanted your trusted mechanic to do it

    It's a two-letter word: "No."

I've got a tire vibration that starts around 95 kph and disappears over 105. I'm hoping that the tire rotation at the next oil change will fix that. They charge extra for wheel balancing.

I did check out that link. I couldn't find axle rod and all it showed me was places in my area. I am going to take it to him tomorrow. Just wondering the cost and time estimate. I didn't call him. I am just going to show up.

Again, I didn't take that as accurate as many here and on reddit stated the dealerships cost of $900 was WAYYYYY overpriced.I was also told to not have it replaced just fixed.

I called around and have been getting quotes between $380-$450 so I have a good basis as to what it should cost now when I take it to my mechanic tomorrow.

Odd thing happened today. Took it to my mechanic and told him what the dealership told me. After a couple of hours, he told me it looked fine and he just fixed the plastic that was hanging down which I told him I thought was causing a rattling sound. Charged me $35 and told me the car is fine to drive cross country. So I guess that's that.

Funny thing though is the rattling sound is still there despite him fixing the hanging plastic that I thought was causing the rattling. Now I have no idea that the sound is. You can only hear it sometimes and it's usually when the car is in a drive thru or when I have my foot on the gas to accelerate and goes away after about 30 MPH.
