My 2015 Persona (185k) just received the code which needs not be named. I have been looking into what my options are to get it fixed and here is what I have found so far

OEM Toyota (I swap the battery units myself) - $2500

Green Bean (all new cells, they install)- $2000

Green Bean (remanufactured, they install) - $1250

    My questions:

How much time and cost of materials (new battery cells) to fix my battery myself? I’d probably replace all of the cells if I go this route.

Are there reputable companies that will sell you a remanufactured battery for less than the $1250 green bean charges? It doesn’t seem like that bad of a deal since it includes install and it has a warranty. I am just trying to identify my options so I can decide how to proceed with running this car into the ground.

    thanks everyone

You may be able to just change some cells at that age.

at $2,500. for the oem, grab it before it's gone. that's the best price i've seen in awhile.
swapping it out is fairly simple. just be careful and methodical.

Leaning towards this option. Do you recommend any particular posts/videos about how to do it? Also how do I know how many battery cells I need without taking it apart and testing them individually? Thanks

IMHO I'd just replace it, eventually they are going to fail. The best I have seen is this one. It's not the same battery as OEM, but the process is very similar.

Get the Dr Prius app and a 0B2 Bluetooth adapter. You can see what paired blocks are doing and how even they all are together. Getting a look at how they all function together is the first step.
