    Thanks for the reply!
If I am reading the link about the repair manual correctly, it says I need to find the Chilton through local library or buy 2 days from Toyota and work fast. Does that sound right or am I missing an option here?

Have you identified the error codes that led to your forum post?

Yes. 33,34, 38 and 39. Which seems to point to both rear ABS sensors. But, as noted prior, one was replaced recently and it seems strange that they would now both pop up at the same time leaving me to wonder if there is an issue with whatever area where they are wired together.

I'm looking for any more advice on this one...
I can't seem to find any decent service manuals that would tell me how to trouble shoot this .
I did pull the rear wheels to get a better look at the speed sensor connector s and wires and they look fine. Being that both sides came up as issues at the same time, I am a little dubious as to is being the actual sensors.
    Thoughts?

Read post #40. You need to get the Toyota repair manual for the codes that you have and go through the step by step process of troubleshooting how to diagnose the problem.

    Thanks for the reply.
I did see that post and click the link but fail to find usable documentation. Does this mean I need to purchase the Toyota repair manual for the 2 days or am I missing something? Sorry for my ignorance here. I have always been able to either find a physical repair book or followed Internet advice to track down the issues.

Yes, you should pay for two days of access to the Toyota information system. Download the needed sections of the Toyota repair manual. You will need to create an account to do this.

Well I looked up my AutoZone account and found I had a warranty on the replaced rear wheel bearing so I decided to replace both rears. While I was in there I unhooked both ends of both sensor harnesses and tested the wires for continuity. Both good.
After replacing both I went for a drive and restarted the car a dozen times. Still get lights. Came back home and checked blink codes. Now the only one of note is the ABS 33. I'm at a bit of a loss here...

Well I took off that right wheel and pulled the sensor connector and sprayed it a few times with some deoxit then ran it on and off of the sensor a few times. Clipped it back on and put everything back together and no lights! Guess it was just a little dirty in there. Will update if there are any changes but good for now. Thanks for the help.

The brake system has a 'sensor test' mode you can put it in, where you drive around in a certain prescribed fashion and it holds the sensor signals to extra-high standards, and signals if anything is remotely marginal.

The repair manual says to use that test after any kind of work on the bearings or around those sensors, and that's not a bad idea, because if you run through that routine and everything passes, you can be pretty sure it's all good.

Well it has been good all week but just in case... Do you have any directions on how to get it into sensor test mode? I would love to give it a shot.

Someone might pop by and post an excerpt from the repair manual, if not, of course it's here:

Toyota Service Information and Where To Find It | PriusChat

It's a whole procedure: enter the mode, drive this way at this speed, make this kind of U turn, hold pedals this long, wait for beeps ... better to read it in the manual, too long for me to type and risk getting a detail off.

FYI chap, I'm not seeing "sensor test" in my copy. Could it be slightly different?

Um, SIGNAL CHECK or SENSOR CHECK USING TEST MODE ...

... in using or not using the Techstream flavors.
