Check with your stock broker. Mine is Vanguard; purchase stock - is dollar-per-dollar shorted stock - is about 1-to-2 dollars so my 10 short-shares at $270 required only $1,350 real money Murphy's Law, the rate of decrease in TSLA stock price has slowed. I have a "buy-to-clear" order of ~75% of my short cell price, ~$200. If it goes that low, I automatically clear my short position and book my profit: ($270 - $200) / $270 ~= 30% return in 60 days. I will close my short-sell one week after the 2025 Q1 report. Sad to say, TSLA was at $300 when I decided to short-sell BUT Vanguard has mandatory waiting periods, seven days. By the time I could short-sell, the stock price had gone to $270. The previous drop was awesome but has Murphy's Law took his cut. Bob Wilson

These posts don't work: I am still taking precautions when going out of town and we'll let God sort them out. Meanwhile, I am keeping an eye out for a fair priced, used HW 4.0 Model 3 or Y. I'll also price a battery replacement for my 2019 Model 3 on April 14th. But my 'window shopping' has no effect on my TSLA stock position. I have a TSLA short sale, 10 shares at $270, and waiting until a week after the 2025 Q1 financials: Tesla will post its financial results for the first quarter of 2025 after market close on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. At that time, Tesla will issue a brief advisory containing a link to the Q1 2025 update which will be available on Tesla's Investor Relations website. We'll then get a better idea then of sales along with the costs to make those products. Having been a TSLA investor dating back to 2016, this is nothing new to me. Mixing politics and business in the same pot leads to indigestion. For stock speculators, the tariff fever can be good, especially when you know that tomorrow it will be brought down by the Twin Towers or the volcano of one person's ideas, which are renewed three times a day. For long-term prospects, this is not a good option.
