My lady friend out in the Pacific Northwest finally came through I received eight wrapped reprinted new '09 manuals including the separate wiring diagram in its own book. That's a lot of manual

Pricey, and hard to find, at least new.

    Toyota Prius Shop/Service Information

^ I always used to by Honda Manuals from those guys, for about $100 CDN per. Excellent, thorough/complete books. I think quality, editorial oversight and whatever has tanked of late.

There's a company here in the US that offers the Toyota manuals in complete sets reprinted but they look factory actually they seem a little heavier than factory to be honest about it The factory manuals I have are very thin pages not quite like a newspaper but getting real close these reprints I've seen pages are very heavy and very white and they look good I've seen quite a few of them at people's shops and whatnot A lot of guys prefer paper so there is always that I can get the name of the company I have it on a piece of paper here somewhere but they do a very brisk business for a seven manual set for like an '07 Prius it's like $240. In the grand scheme of things that's not too bad to have all that information right there on your desk or wherever you're sitting to me that's kind of inexpensive actually The buck stops once you have all that pretty much.

But I think for the beginning of the generation 3 2010 everything went digital I'm not sure you can buy books for those but I'm not positive of that I just somebody here said that actually I believe.

4th gen is digital only, for sure. 3rd gen I believe manuals were still offered (4 volumes?), but they were womething like a grand for the set, ridiculous. And the quality didn't seem in the same league as gen 2, poorly organized, little editorial oversight. A good example is the order to do the brakes in during fluid replacement: they have four verbose paragraphs descriping what to do, most of identical, and one word change, somewhere in the middle, to indicate WHAT corner it's for.

My buddy just ordered to set from this company up in I want to say it's up north and he got 2008 manual said I think it's six manual six physical books and he got the same electrical wiring diagram that I posted the other day these are reprints the box that that came in was the same that holds a ream of paper and it was full to the top and it must have weighed 40 lb It was heavy for me to pick up The shipping probably cost more than the manuals but they did a great job the covers look nice The pages look good I was pleasantly surprised and he's been in them since he's got them.
