Hey all, I'm hoping someone has some leads on some issues I've encountered when trying to replace the stereo in my Prius with an aftermarket one. I cannot for the life of me find any pin out diagrams for the original wiring. The original stereo was marked with "57032" and the model number for the device is "86140-47060". I was able to successfully install the new stereo with a comparable wiring harness. The issue is with the touch tracer steering wheel buttons. I have purchased an AXXESS ASWC to install, but the included harness does not fit the connector in the car. I'm not shy about splicing into the car's connector wires, but without knowing what is what it's difficult to do so. Also, will the AXXESS fix the TRIP and DISP buttons. I've read that there is a separate fix for that. Thanks in advance for any help.
just to confirm... all buttons dont work? or only trip disp? because trip and disp arent for the radio... I have a handful of articles I wrote with my 2013 Plugin Advanced Tech Package https://black.jmyntrn.com/?s=jbl
I’m trying to understand your recent posts and webpage on upgrading the Toyota MFD to Tesla like display. You say it works on all gens but I can’t figure out what products you’re referring to. Where is the product for a 2013 Prius plug-in base model with navigation?
Did you know that all Android Screens use an industry standard back end main harness plug and the other ports for things like OBD2 and 360 cameras? This is how Im using the Android head unit from me Gen 3 in the Gen 2 simply by having the harness that allows both the MFD and lower Radio to be removed and all plugs into the head unit. This means the only difference between the models is the bezel and the plugin to factory plugs. Since the a/c controls on the Gen 2 MFD got us into the climate control, the part about being able to remove the climate control panel and have it plug into the harness is the next step, I'm just trying to finish the Gen 2 so things can move onto the other Generations. I have a 2013 Plugin only, completing this Gen 2 build is the priority for me this month. Then my eyes are set on replacing the factory tesla style screen in my 2017 Prime!
