Yes I have it turned up full to max but in daylight I can't see it at all. Is there some kind of back light out.
I've got the same problem, with the speedometer. Driving on wet street hit by bright sun is the worst; you can fugedabout knowing how fast you're going...
What's possible ie a back light out. I remember seeing a setting somewhere for day, night, auto but can't find it now. It really is bad during the day. It is 12 years old not 18.
sorry, i was looking at your vehicle. anything is possible with these units. do you have a copy of the operating manual? that should spell out the day/night option
No manuals but everything's online now but no there is no setting other than brightness and contrast.
Could end up getting one a old as this and the same problem. Is there a bulb inside it that can be replaced.
There’s probably nothing “wrong” with it; noticed a few days back, driving on wet streets with bright sunlight, no way to see what speed you’re doing. Coming from a second gen Civic Hybrid dash, definitely a downgrade.
Mendel I can see the speed on top etc fine, it is the radio I am taking about, it doesn't need to be sunny just during the day in general you can't see it.
