I have a 2007 prius im interested in lifting. I have a 1.5" spacer lift i recently picked up but just learned about using 03-09 matrix springs and perches. I cant find anything about how much lift the matrix springs add. My question is how much lift do matrix springs/perches add, for front and rear. Also can a 1.5" spacer lift be used in conjuction with matrix spring lift? Thanks in advance.
I've also read all the threads on here about Matrix suspension parts and never saw anything about how much lift they provide. I suspect no much.
If you can get the XR4 or the XR series of that car that'll give you the most you're going to get the chassis are pretty similar so they're going to look pretty much like they do on XR matrix so look at the matrix and that's what your Prius is kind of going to look like giving similar tire sizes and the light but then you're going higher than that with a spacer and like I said before the matrix has iron hubs that are about 7/8 in thick when you try and drop the matrix struts into the Prius you have a big problem that 7/8 spread for the iron hub is no longer there now you need one and a quarter almost that space on the strut tube You can't just splay that apart. So that stops you right there You could get coilovers from the company I buy from I think they got coverage for the aluminum hubs I think there's some of those in Corollas now so it just depends on what you want to do the easiest thing to do and the fastest thing to do is take 40 mm spacers and put them all the way around the car I have them laying here in the yard I just had them on the car killed the gas mileage so I took them off the front and set it back down left the back lifted 40 mm and put 195 65 15 tires all the way around and that's all I need gas mileage is back up into the 44 range It was sitting at 39 37
What is your goal in lifting the car? The stability of the car deteriorates when it is raised above the factory settings. It will not become an SUV, but it will look ugly from afar.
This is my 57-reg lifted with 1.6” spacers. Stock springs and tyres (16” here in the UK). Getting in and out the car is a breeze. And using the boot is great, not needing to bend down etc.
