Just simple safety. Name another hybrid/PHEV that does this other than the old Prius PIP and maybe Gen4 Prime.

the way you say old has me to believe that you don't know the power the Gen 1(Gen 3) Plug-in Prius and the Gen 2(Gen 4) Prius Prime has... no worries, I will show you all soon here. If you only knew how far I traveled when I first started to then know how halted and slowed down things have had to be allll because I didn't have the man power to reply to inquires and peoples first assumption was a scammer. eh, I got over it over a year ago and have been full steam ahead as I am able to. 2025 is the year, now if my new contact in Canada who works for the red company can get me all of the JDM Prius Prime charging components from the exterior connector all the way to the hv battery but not the battery.. all else.. lets just say ill be a happy overlander once they arrive and I am able to then get all of the Gen 1 PHEV Prius components for its PHEV features then I can put all the goodies in a Prius V with the V8 Hybrid motor and AWD CVT from the LS600HL.

its starting to look like you all really have no idea about the possibilities of interoperability between these vehicles nor what the ECUs and BMSs are truly capable of for the sole reason of you wanting to stay within the box of yota and speaking on what you've read from many PDFs. I'll tell you this, if you actually got a hold of this V8 and 3D scanned it like I did, and 3D scanned the engine bay of a Gen 2 or Gen 3 with no engine installed... you still need a V tho but... youd have the foundation to make it fit and work by way of custom front end/suspension/steering through CAD and say metal 3D printing... :)

I need to go get a better 3D scan of the 2014 Prius C motor and its bolt/dowel measurements along with that electric water pump area as I have an idea on how to make that electric pump swap out for the manual pump so that we no longer have to use JDM and 20 year old engines in the Gen 2!

I digress... back to gen 5...

    The "power"?
Isn't this all expressed as kW of max power from the various packs and the kWh of storage of the packs, which can be found in a spec sheet somewhere? And the power of the MG's in any hybrid system is a known.

As for the mechanical installation of new and different power trains, I'm sure you're capable of that!
As for reprogramming the stock ECU and BMS, who knows? There are programable versions available from the EV conversion companies, I would think. But then these are hybrids, so the ECU/Hybrid system is much more complicated than a dedicated EV.

I was just commenting on toyotas BIG step into the future by mounting the pack in a sealed container outside of the cabin of the car.
On the older gen's the Li-ion cells/modules where just mounted in an open box container inside the cabin. Kind of backyard engineering.
It may not have ever happened, but what if one of the cells/modules starts 'letting the smoke out'?

Oh no... that's not the power I am speaking of... the thing is, yes I can reprogram the stock ECU, haven't tried BMS but the thing is... in my experience, you dont need to modify as the ECU and BMS will auto adjust itself based on what component has been swapped in. similar to the guy on here who installed the steering wheel with "something i don't recall" that his car didn't have and all worked as expected with the new steering wheel even tho his car didn't come from the factory with this particular feature.

the power I am talking about doesn't come from reading or watching the brilliant professors videos on youtube. it only comes from trying to do what most around here says cant be done or isn't possible because they read something on a spec sheet.

I don't live in the timid world of "what if" nor do I let it control me under the basis of fear. Im not saying you do specifically, just that I dont.
