LoL; Yes any house built within the last decade is most likely PEX. Heck, my 30 year old house has a 1.25 inch main water pipe coming in from the cities water main. The rest of my house is plain copper. Plastic is a part of everyone's life. Funny thing is that I obsessed about a continuous ground when I install my water softener at the water main coming into the house. I knew all the pipes in my house was copper, didn't know I had plastic pipe from the city water main. Found the plastic to copper coupler about a foot down, when I sprung a leak about five years ago. Note to self; ground to natural gas main instead; hopefully I won't go boom. I later found a foundation rebar ground point for my main circuit panel, when I was wiring in my EV charger.
My dad's ancient, dented Stanley always a welcome sight when I am doing field work in frigid temperatures in the Great North Woods. Keeps things piping all day. kris
LOL! Important tip.... I would NORMALLY state that anyone who is grounding electrical boxes, gennys, etc 'should' know better...... HOWEVER (comma!) I know better.
