    Hi Prius People!

I’ve been having a primary issue that’s caused other issues lately.

Something was draining my battery, I believe a light was left on. Got it charged at Autozone and it was good.

However, even since I took the battery out, and put it back in, the window lights on the drivers door steadily blink, and I’m not able to control the back windows my door controls, and more importantly, I’ll randomly turn off my car and it then go to lock it, doesn’t lock, no power, or I go to start it in the morning and the car has no power. I go through the trunk, open the latch, and the battery is firmly connected, but obviously something is going on… after a few minutes of messing around with it, I see the dash lights come on, and I know the battery is not working. I turn it on, and drive off.

This is issue is beyond annoying and isn’t practical as a daily driver. Resetting the clock and half window use is not a great start to summer.

Any suggestions or solutions that other owners that have experienced this may have would be amazing! Thank you!

Load test the battery. There are electronic testers that can do this, determine the current Cold Cranking Amps, maybe give a verdict. For at least some idea, check the voltage, first thing in morning, car off, with a digital multimeter. I’d also look into smart chargers, especially if your usage is sporadic.

how old is the current battery? If it’s 4~5 years old and has had a few mishaps, likely best to replace.

If the battery isn't working, how is the dash lights working and your able to turn-on the car?
Your flashing window control panel means it lost it's calibration. Perhaps this thread will help.

Other things that would effect that panel would be it getting wet or spilled-on. That could internally bridge a circuit or two, causing an intermittent short. That could drain your battery.
You've got electrical gremlins that needs sorting out.

    Hope this helps......

How old is your 12v battery?

It sounds to me like it is time for a new 12v battery?
