I've seen videos on replacing CV Boots with a "Split" Boot. I was hoping to find a Split Boot For The Front Struts. Is there such a product, or a way to replace just the boot without having to take everything apart? Thanks
They don't work very well. I used the on the old real volkswagens. They don't last. It's not that hard to replace the outer boot. You just need to have a vice to hold axel in while you smack the joint with a 5# or more hammer to pop it off. Slip the old boot off, new one on. Clean and grease the joint and pop it back on. There is a "c" clip that pops into a groove on the axel.
