Like I said, 55 months on my original testing pack and still going strong. And the percentage of the 4 thousand packs on the road that have failed is small, but when you're a small business, even that small number of packs going bad and dealt with as warranty replacement can have a devastating impact to the survival of the business. Then adding all these tariffs on top. It's amazing that he's still able to keep the doors open and its exciting that he's executing a successful plan towards getting the company out of the red and viable again.

Because it's a lithium chemistry battery that was installed in a car that was designed for NiMH? That would be my guess, but I'm sure I'll catch he** from the guard dogs now that I said it.....

A one year warranty should be honored especially when those aftermarket lithium batteries cost $2200 less than a year ago.

The seller's reputation is formed by ensuring warranty obligations to the buyer.

The cable from amazon is totally worth it but skip trying to deal with the headache trying to install it off their sketchy pirated cd. It's super easy to just do it this way and no virus risks as it's emulated

    How-To: TechStream In 5 Minutes | IH8MUD Forum

If you check page 71 someone made a youtube tutorial on this install method. It's really simple.

Agreed, apparently I am covering cost of Tarrifs + shipping… I don’t think I really have another choice at this point

I'm in the same boat. I have 12 good cells 2 failed ones... I kept my old OEM battery and put that back in the car. So it is running for now...but having issues on start up. I don't have $2,400 for Sodium or $3,000 for an OEM right now.
Will have to save up...but the tarriff's will make the price go up for sure.

Yea I’m pretty bummed out about it. Drive it to work today, had no choice. No flames yet lol.

I went ahead and but the $770 bullet for the sodium warranty purchase. Spent just under $3000 for the battery now. More than the car is worth at this point. Fun times.

Wonder what blades went bad for you, interested in swapping my old ones? (I have no clue if that is a viable option)

I had the special blade go bad. It was V 2.5.. Catastrophic failure. The other was blade 10 IIRC. I did buy mine used off a guy for $1,600 so I'm not out as much...but yes I got about a year out if it. So like $133.00 a month.....

Anyone in the US who wants two or three replacement V2.5 blades should send me a PM. These are brand new in box... have been sitting in a corner gathering dust for around a year. I have no use for them. I will send you up to three modules free of charge, except you pay shipping (~$30 CONUS).

The previous paragraph is not an endorsement for the product. Modules are offered as-is, but again they're brand new in box, so they're probably in better condition than your modules. You will need to balance the blade to whatever voltage your existing blades are at. My entire offer is to put up to three V2.5 modules into a (properly labeled) box and then shipping said box to you. Right now I still recommend OEM NiMH, but I understand not everyone can afford to go back.

I would definitely be interested in purchasing 2.
I am afraid I’m not familiar with balancing new blades however. How could I go about this?

Send me a PM with your physical address and PayPal handle.

You basically need to make all blade voltages the same. The non-broken ones in your pack with (probably) all be around the same voltage (e.g. 18 volts). You'll need to charge/discharge the replacement blades to that same voltage (e.g. 18 volts). If you don't do that, then the OEM BSU will measure a voltage mismatch and throw a code.

I defer a complete explanation to Team Jack, as this is their product to support.

    UPDATE:
    upload_2025-4-26_16-16-57.jpeg

Could this corrosion be causing my P3000?
voltage on blocks 1 & 13 are 16 while the others are 16.5

yes...that corrosion causes resistance. Also check the other plug. You can clean with vinegar and baking soda mixture scrub with a toothbrush and when very, very, clean rinse with alcohol and then non residue leaving..... electrical cleaner.

Thank you! Not sure how to clean the female connecter to be honest, any suggestions are welcome.
