Is there anything to identify the Prius Touring edition? Besides looking at the tire size, is there something writen on the outside or inside of the car that says touring edition?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(YodaddyAlex @ Jan 18 2007, 12:32 PM) </div> The wheels are noticably different. I see a few on the road, and that is what I notice. I don't think there is an emblem or anything.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tideland Prius @ Jan 18 2007, 10:19 AM) </div> The wheels have silver plastic covers with 6 thinner looking spokes than the STD Prius wheels.

so my car, pictured in this unfortunate topic, is not a touring edition? http://priuschat.com/My-Prius-is-probably-...ed--t27678.html
Judging by the spoiler and the wheels, I'd say no. Were you charged for a Touring edition? What does the invoice say?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(subarutoo @ Jan 18 2007, 12:31 PM) </div> Seven spokes.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(YodaddyAlex @ Jan 18 2007, 05:07 PM) </div> Probably not. Those are the standard wheels. It should have said Touring Edition on the window sticker or something as well. The details on the differences are here http://www.toyota.com/prius/models.html
no I was charged for a regular one but the dealer gave me a replacement from another lot quickly and had to reprint the contract at the end, so I just was hoping they made a mistake. But now my car will be in the shop until the middle of next month at the earliest, I was hoping to get a new touring edition and sell this one, but with all the damage done to it, who would want to buy it for almost sticker?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(YodaddyAlex @ Jan 18 2007, 05:16 PM) </div> Man, that really sucks what happened to you. The whole point of buying a new car is to have a new, problem free car. Hopefully everything will work out though. What really sucks is that since the car was new, it'd have to be really damaged for it to be written off as salvaged. Since the insurance guys figure the difference between the cost to repair the car vs the cost to replace it. h34r: sorry for posting offtopic here.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(YodaddyAlex @ Jan 18 2007, 02:07 PM) </div> The only "touring" that car will do is to the body shop. Sorry. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusenvy @ Jan 18 2007, 02:29 PM) </div> Yeah, seven. Counting was never my strong point. Actually, in Prius-crazy LA, I've only seen one Touring model on the road. Where are they? Are they out touring somewhere else?
