This looks interesting. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/toyota-bz7-channels-the-avalon-as-a-new-flagship-ev-sedan-for-china/ar-AA1DunA5?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=a43c3ebaca074f39f371b56d1ca44a1f&ei=76 Why don't they put it out in the US?
Lexus will be putting out their flagship ES 350e and ES 500e next year for the North American market. Hopefully that EV sedan makes its way into a Camry or Crown. Heck I'd even go for PHEV version.
China mandates plug ins, and the US...is, well a mess at the moment for even ICE cars. Except it's huge. It is a hand longer than the Accord, and that is a large car by EPA metrics. If the cabin space matches the exterior, it is bigger than the old Avalon.
That was my feeling about the Toyota Estima minivan: Toyota Previa - Wikipedia The Toyota Previa, also known as the Toyota Estima (Japanese: トヨタ・エスティマ, Hepburn: Toyota Esutima) in Japan, and Toyota Tarago in Australia, is a minivan that was produced by Toyota from 1990 until October 2019 across three generations.[2] The name "Previa" is derived from the Spanish for "preview", as Toyota saw the first Previa as a vehicle that would preview technologies used in future minivans. The Previa was the second largest minivan in Toyota's lineup in Japan after the bigger and more luxurious Alphard/Vellfire. . . . I've known of WW-2 veterans who would never buy a Japanese product. Pure speculation, it is as good as any other speculation about why 'strange' decisions were made. Bob Wilson
