Picked up a 2019 Prius Prime at auction — insurance listed the damage as "undercarriage," but the car is marked as run and drive with approximately 105,000 miles.

I ran a scan and pulled around 40 codes, most of which are CAN Bus communication-related.

Here’s the strange part: the car has a strong fishy odor, and it’s definitely coming from the rear, near the hybrid battery.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Were you able to resolve it by replacing just a few modules, or did it require a full HV battery replacement?

Any insight or shared experience would be appreciated.

Then what's causing the smell?? Burnt electronics or someone spilled something and it soaked into the padding???? You'll need to rip it apart to find the source; otherwise drive it only when its very cold out. That should reduce the stench....
