Prius 2024. I can't figure out how to make the feature in the subject work. I've set the seat memory position but it is working randomly (or randomly not working, LOL). Sometimes I get in, turn on the car, put the seatbelt, and nothing happens. I manually adjust the seat the way i want it, press SET and L1 until I hear the beep. Then all is set, or is it? To test I turn the car off. Then the seat goes back. It feels it goes back half a way, though, but in the settings it is set on full. I turn the car on again right away, and the seat is recalled to where I need it to be. If I get out of the car and return some time later, my Priums seems to forget the recall feature. Or sometimes it moves the seat to a postion which is nowhere near to what it was set to. Or sometimes it sets correctly. Before you suggest to do the reset, I did it number of times (the back/forward/up/down/lean back/lean forward pocedure). Followed numerous how-to Youtube videos. It simply does not work right. Any ideas?
I'm still getting used to the seats, so I don't have a wealth of experience to share on this. They seem to do strange things sometimes - I've noticed they react differently to each driver, so must be paired with the key fob...But if my car were doing what yours is, I'd take it in to be looked at.
I took it to the dealership. They’ve looked at it, couldn’t find anything but surprisingly it started worked. Realized that the seat was not all the way up (I am not exactly tall). Set the height the way I wanted, pressed set and the Seat 1 button, heard the beep….and it is not working again. If I shut off the car the seat goes back as it should. Start it right away, and it recalls the position. But if I keep it off for a few minutes and then start it, then the recall function does not do anything, and I have to adjust the seat manually.
