Had this radio poor reception with oem radio. Put android in. Worst. Removed radio. Seems like a bad end at radio connection
Can I cut and splice a new end on. Or complete antenna removal?? I played with the end. I made it worse.
Black cable with white and black wire attached .

Odds are the antenna preamp built into the antenna base is bad. It happens. Just changing the connector at the head unit will not help.

Here is a pdf I made when changing my preamp on a v.

Such a headache to change . I got the car 2 years ago . The factory signal was weak. Playing around with the android radio. I can hear a difference with the no signal to some signal when I wiggle it. I think what's bad is what you say. And the lead base wire is bad also. I had thur blue tooth xm radio. But with the factory one. I had a c.d player.
