Check Hybrid system light - battety issue?

    The check hybrid system light on my 2010 activated 10-15 minutes into a drive the morning after i might have left the headlights on. The car drove but after i stopped it and tried to restart, it turned on but would go past neutral.

    Is this possibly just a battery issue?

    yes it could be a battery issue. Do you have AAA? any auto parts store can check it for free
