Can anyone identify this.

    In the middle of a head gasket replacement and dropped a rocker behind the exhaust. Magnet tool came back with more than the rocker. Any idea where this came from?

    I found one of those in my exhaust, rattling around. Maybe that's something from a sensor

    Looks like a locating tube sometimes they're tapped into heads valve covers to locate the two pieces easily together some form of a spacer a sensor doesn't seem like it would have that at all sensors a lot of times on the end that screws in kind of looks like a spark plug or similar and has a flatter gasket sealing type of thanks similar to a spark plug but not exactly then others that are going in water sensing have o-rings

    That's a guide pin to align the head on the block.
    Looking from the front of the car, there's one on the front right, and one of the left rear.
