I've got access to a one nzfe engine for a ridiculously stupid low price it has like 48,000 mi on it and documented I have the paperwork and it's sitting in the car and I can power up the car and see the miles the car doesn't look in that bad of shape. It is a oh I don't even remember I think it's an echo so that means it spins the power steering pump and air conditioning compressor of civil equipped and the water pump obviously I can drop its air conditioner and its power steering pump I was thinking of taking this engine assembly and putting the FXR hybrid head on it bolting the mess back up and dropping it into one of my pri? This series of engine doesn't have any of the stupid rings or any of the funny business to the generation 3 has correct? So the only thing to make an Fe engine an FXR in this series would be the cylinder head the removal of the components above and pretty much good to go what do you think?

It's worth a try. It's interesting to know about the differences in the internals of these engines.

I'm going to take the engine from what I understand it's all external except for the cylinder head and it's funky camshafts for the Atkinson I don't think deck height or any of that stuff changes Toyota's not one to usually do that kind of thing not in the same series of engine because I can use it in another NZ engine car if there was something to pop up that couldn't work what I actually wanted to do was try the one NZ non-detuned regular SE engine in the Prius with the hybrid synergy drive system minus the power steering pump in the crank pulley from the FE engine but I fear that will cause a serious imbalance in the system and it will rattle forever from the time you start it maybe I'd like to try this in a car that I don't care about so if it doesn't work I don't have to rip it apart immediately but I need an engine with low mileage for my gold work car which is using coolant a little bit and this engine only has like 40,000 miles on it in the car with the tachometer that I can look at so I'm probably going to give it a whirl just to see and I believe that'll be fine but like I said I really want to try a one nzfe made it up to the hybrid synergy drive system and see how bad it would really be or make that one nzfe up to the 2z transmission from the generation 3 with some sort of a stupid plate if that would even be needed to get more powerful hybrid synergy drive system made it up to the more powerful 1.6 Fe motor but then I don't know if the generation 2 can actually work the generation 3 transmission probably not or not easily.
