Those who think raising taxes will work, feel free to pay more taxes.
It's on the tax forms.... I'd be willing to bet NONE of those who thinks paying more
taxes is clicking that box! (y)(y)

what's the average miles driven? i'll go with 12,000

if a gasser gets 25mpg, thats 480 gallons, check my math.

call it 500 gallons at 20 cents fed gas tax per gallon = $100. someone wants to raise that to $1,000.?

fine, but show me the road and bridge repair costs and the current gas tax revenue per year.

Let me channel my inner CA Democrat politician... we don’t need a silly spreadsheet to show how much it cost to maintain and repair the roads and bridges. We just feel it’s the right thing to do to preserve out travel infrastructure and keep people safe on the road. Being safe cant it be measured with metrics therefore we must legislature the bill and pass immediately.

That’s the usual shpeel when we hear ca politicians speak.

Californians DID to vote to keep the recent gas tax plan. Jerry Brown was the governor at the time e and implemented it. He said if you’re not happy with the new gas tax then vote no on the ballot to end it. When voting season came around, Californians voted to keep the gas tax haha. So every year the gas tax rates raises until its brought to the ballot for no more gas taxes

Good question. The ca politicians wants this program very bad so let me call me local state representative to see if they have piloted the program far enough to implement it on us. I’ll also also tell him, tax me harder daddy.

Noooo, If a person thinks that tax is good, let THEM pay the tax. Not those who are smart enough
to know it's wrong and stupid.

Until the early 1900's, tariffs..... you need to study history.
And not all taxes are horribly wrong, just too many of them.

Back in the late 1980's all the commies were crying we need a lottery to fund schools, pay the teacher/s
more money, etc.... you could do away with the taxes to fund schools.
Over 35 years later, and they are still crying the same thing, we need more taxes to pay the teacher's
more money and pay for more schools. So where did all the millions of dollars go from the lottery?????
