Snapped almost clean off. I have no idea how it happened, but I think the rubber coating may be the only thing holding the mast onto the base. To my knowledge, these cars don't have satellite radio. This car is a Five with navigation. What is this antenna for? And more to the point, what's involved with replacing it? Are the mast and the base two separate parts, or does the whole thing have to go? And can that be done without removing the headliner inside? Thanks for any wisdom that anyone has to offer.
They do have satellite radio. The antenna is used for am fm satellite and cellular mayday if equipped. The cellular was 3g. The mast simply screws on and can be replaced easily. The base is actually a preamp and is more difficult if the electronics inside fail.
