It's definitely not a great scanner, especially since there is no documentation on what it can do, what the data names mean, etc. But it does read a bunch, if not all, of the Toyota specific codes for each subsystem (keys, airbag, tire sensors, etc.) And it has special functions, for example, I was able to change the reverse beep from continuous to one beep. That's worth the $$$ by itself.

these days i find it best to make your own... for instance, resetting the airbag module after an accident is one of the things I want to do. this way, the one i took out of the car i can clear and keep in the car.. thats one of those incase some accident or other id swap the module and be able to drive it out... especially if up some 4x4 trail and lost of traction causes me to hit the side of the mountain hard enough to deploy bags. id have the module ready to swap in.

You mean the bag modules themselves the white things that inflate are you talking about the things that set them off.? Then you have to also deal with the device that set the airbag off too right doesn't that get sacrificed in the system? I'm not convinced that it's that easy so you'll need your Toyota software with you and all that too while you're out riding the trails yeah pretty

im talking about in my plugin, i had to replace the module under the dash way down underneath that's what to my knowledge controls the blown air bags. after replacing dash bags and front crash sensors, it wasn't until the module was replaced did many errors go away. thats with not even replacing the blown seat belt with an unignited one. i still get the code for the seat belt but all else was golden after replacing abs module. From what I can tell, techstream is useless for resetting this module just like it is for uploading modified ecu parameters not created by toyota to be uploaded through techstream

Language and codecs etc .you're hacking into Intel property stream is what's used to flash the computers firmwares. Have a whole file of computer updates for most models thru 2023 at time I received .
