Corporate doesn't seem to care. I couldn't drive my new car for 2+ weeks because the temp tags expired and the dealer couldn't provide the MCO for me to register it.

Corporate told me it's a dealer issue and the dealer would contact me. They never have.

OK, I finally got up the courage to try this. Actually, one day I walked past the car and something on my hip hit the mirror which popped off the cover, and boom I had access to the lamp so I figured now or never. I never did remove all that you did but I managed to get it back on and you are 100% correct it was not as hard as I feared. I truly appreciate you giving me the how-to that I might get this done even though it was quite by accident that spurred me to the repair. .

We had the same issue with our 2023 XSE. My wife noticed that the indicator on the drivers side mirror was very dim. After doing some research (primary info was found here). I decided that the diagnostic fee quoted by the dealership (over $300) was too big a gamble, if they decide to blame bug strikes or other "outside influences". I got the courage to buy a set of plastic trim pryers and pull off the mirror. It was very easy, but if you haven't done it before, you really don't know how hard to pry without breaking it. The light had fallen out of its pocket on the back side off the mirror. As others have stated, it is held in place with some gummy, clear adhesive. It really should snap in place, but it doesn't. Sadly, I held it in place with some electrical tape and I expect I will need to improve that fix at some time, but the fix was so easy (I am not advocating that you do as I did, it may not go as well for you). Putting it back in place was a bit harder, as you have to push pretty hard and it needs to be lined up with the clips inside the mirror enclosure.
