Ticking noise behind the steering wheel or at the bottom of the accelerator pedal somewhere.

For a week I was really bothered by a ticking sound behind the wheel or at the bottom of the accelerator pedal of my car. The sound resembles a gas hob igniter. I'm used to the creaking and squeaking noises from my prius2, but this is very different and disturbing when driving. This is very audible while driving, but also when stationary when arriving at your destination. When I turn my steering wheel left or right I don't have this noise. I uploaded a video and sound. Does anyone know what this is?
